ABOUT DOG & PONY GRILL
Dog & Pony Grill opened in 2011 as a nod to the two high school mascots in town: the Boerne High School Greyhounds and the Boerne Champion High School Chargers. With its convenient location on US 87 / Main Street just off IH-10 on Boerne’s south side, Dog & Pony is approachable from northwest San
Antonio and the Texas Hill country. It offers a full bar and food menu and a family-friendly environment for guests of all ages.
A BOERNE TRADITION RETURNS
Boerne, TX – Dog & Pony Grill announced today it will host a grand re-opening on Thursday, May 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Students and families can celebrate the last day of class for Boerne ISD schools – and the unofficial start of summer - with the reimagining of a local fan favorite.
Dog & Pony guests will notice familiar menu items, as well as fresh arrivals. A revamped full bar will serve draft beer, tasteful wines and select mixed drinks including frozen margaritas. Out back, a renovated outdoor entertainment complex includes more covered deck seating, enhanced playground
attractions and a live music venue.
“Dog & Pony Grill is a centerpiece of Boerne community,” said owner Brandon Fuller. “We believe in building a strong community, and we’re thrilled to take Dog & Pony to the next level.”
“Our experience providing high quality food and entertainment will make Dog & Pony an even more attractive destination,” stated Fuller, a former general manager of Alamo Drafthouse in San Antonio.
“We have overhauled everything from the menu to the décor to the seating. Now, you can eat, drink and relax with plenty of room for your kids to play.”
Situated under majestic oaks, Dog & Pony’s expanded outdoor entertainment area features a playscape, a new basketball court, a live music stage and a dancefloor. The nearly two-acre spread is enclosed by a secure high fence to give parents peace of mind. A planned live music lineup will put springs in steps of all ages.
Local decorator, Boerne Farmhouse, shaped Dog & Pony’s new cowboy industrial look. The restaurant’s redeveloped menu ranges from comfort to culinary. Its offerings include the best salad bar in town, burgers, chicken fried steak, salmon, wings and new wraps. A full service bar will help beat the heat with a large variety of draft beers, wine and spirits.
“We’re excited to bring Dog & Pony back to the greater Boerne community,” Fuller said. “Whether you’re watching a game or celebrating one, Dog & Pony will be a place for family memories for years to come.”
